This professional service helps customers achieve specific outcomes related to the adoption of virtual desktop infrastructure on AWS Cloud by designing, deploying, and operating end-user computing environments using Amazon WorkSpaces, Amazon WorkSpaces Core, and Citrix DaaS — available on AWS Marketplace — as the delivery platforms. Every engagement is structured across four phases that can be purchased together or separately: a workload measurement assessment, a build-ready design with a proven pilot, a production deployment with wave-based user migration, and ongoing managed services after go-live. The assessment phase instruments a representative sample of real users and records what their applications actually consume — CPU, memory, GPU, storage IOPS, and network behaviour under real video and voice load — then combines that measurement with a review of identity estate, network paths, Microsoft and AWS licensing positions, and data residency obligations, delivering a measured workload profile, a recommended Amazon WorkSpaces or Citrix DaaS desktop specification backed by evidence, an AWS Region and topology recommendation, a cost model, and a risk register.
The design and pilot phase turns the assessment into a build-ready specification covering AWS Region placement and user-to-Region mapping, AWS Directory Service topology, Amazon VPC network and connectivity design, Amazon WorkSpaces or Citrix DaaS image standards, profile and data handling using Amazon S3 and Amazon FSx, security baseline using AWS IAM and AWS Security Hub, and an operational model — then proves it with a running pilot environment against acceptance criteria fixed in advance, including latency, login time, session stability, and user experience score, before the production build commits. The deployment phase covers AWS foundation build, AWS Directory Service deployment, connector and gateway configuration for Amazon WorkSpaces Core or Citrix DaaS on AWS, golden image creation and application packaging, machine catalogue and delivery group setup, policy and user experience tuning, profile and data migration, Amazon CloudWatch monitoring, AWS Backup configuration, and administrator handover training, with users moved in defined waves each carrying a rollback plan. Managed services after go-live cover Amazon CloudWatch monitoring and incident response, image and application lifecycle management, capacity review against real Amazon WorkSpaces login and concurrency data, security baseline maintenance, AWS Directory Service and policy administration, user account lifecycle management for joiners, movers, and leavers, a named engineer with a named backup, scheduled health checks with written reports, and monthly service reporting against response targets agreed in the private offer.
Customers using this service are responsible for AWS infrastructure costs incurred in their AWS accounts — including Amazon WorkSpaces bundle charges, Amazon WorkSpaces Core compute and storage, AWS Directory Service, Amazon VPC, Amazon S3, Amazon FSx, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Backup, and any Amazon EC2 infrastructure supporting Citrix DaaS on AWS — separately from the service fee transacted through AWS Marketplace. This service suits organisations ranging from single-Region pilots of 50 seats to multi-Region rollouts of several thousand users across separate legal entities and data residency regimes, and is particularly well matched to organisations replacing legacy or on-premises virtual desktop infrastructure with a measured, governed, and operationally supported environment on AWS.

Once a private offer is accepted, a named delivery lead contacts you within two business days to confirm scope, schedule and the people we need from your side. You receive a project plan and a single point of contact for the duration of the engagement.
Customers on a managed services subscription receive email and phone support with hours and response targets set in the private offer, a dedicated support channel staffed by a named primary engineer and a named backup, an escalation path with named contacts at each level, scheduled health checks with a written report, and a monthly service review.
