reverge is a attack surface management (ASM) framework. Its primary function includes collecting information about a target's network through network scanning and open-source intelligence gathering. By thoroughly analyzing systems and networks, reverge identifies vulnerabilities, network services, web applications, and potential security risks that contribute to an organization's attack surface. It also enables an organization to actively track assets and exposures, assisting in the reduction of its attack surface, strengthening defenses and mitigating potential threats.
One of reverges standout differences from other attack surface management tools is the unparalleled control it provides over your security data. Since reverge is not a typical SaaS product, potentially sensitive scan results remain under your control, either on your own reverge server or a remote database server you configure. Additionally, you can connect to manually provisioned collectors inside your internal networks through secure SSH tunnels, giving you a streamlined way to scan both external and internal environments without compromising data ownership or privacy.
Highlights
Comprehensive Asset Discovery. Uncover all external-facing systems and applications.
Continuous Vulnerability Detection. Perform ongoing scans to catch new or emerging threats.
Attack Simulation & Testing. Predict potential attack paths and lateral movements to refine security strategies.

See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for Reverge, an attack surface management tool that runs on an EC2 instance you deploy. Pricing is tied to the EC2 instance type you choose, so each dimension maps to one instance size. You are billed for the hours the instance runs. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, GPU, or storage carry higher hourly rates, while smaller general-purpose sizes cost less per hour. Specialized families for compute, memory, storage, GPU, and machine learning workloads let you match the instance to your scanning and analysis needs. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billing unit represent for Reverge pricing?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, billed per hour the instance runs. You pick a single instance size to host Reverge, and you pay the hourly rate for that size. The instance runs the web interface, scanning, and analysis functions on one server you deploy.
Am I charged when the Reverge instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue per hour while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue Reverge hourly charges. Underlying AWS storage fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the software meter counts running hours only.
How does the hourly usage model work, and is there any upfront commitment?
You pay only for the hours your chosen instance runs, with no upfront commitment. Charges start when the instance runs and stop when it does. This suits variable or intermittent scanning workloads, since you are not locked into a fixed term or quantity.

Managing large penetration test scopes has become efficient and supports collaborative workflows
Reviewed on Dec 11, 2025
Review from a verified AWS customer
What is our primary use case?
I use Reverge for managing large target scopes for penetration tests and sharing data from assessments among multiple team members.
How has it helped my organization?
Managing a large number of hosts during penetration tests can be very tedious and hard to translate to multiple operators. Reverge makes it easy to repeat steps and share results across team members. The AI integration features show a lot of promise as well. I look forward to seeing what kind of automations will be possible in the future.
What is most valuable?
The feature of data aggregation across multiple scanning utilities is particularly valuable. Searching large scan results by server technology is really helpful.
What needs improvement?
I'd like to see more customization in how results are tagged and categorized. Adding scheduled task support would also be very useful for automation-focused teams.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for 1 month.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used Assetnote before, and it is overpriced garbage. Xpanse is a good alternative, but it doesn't always quite solve my specific issues and can be expensive.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Depending on your situation, you might want to consider turning it off when you are not using it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
As I mentioned, Assetnote does not meet my expectations.
What other advice do I have?
The product seems to be in active development, so it is worth checking in regularly for updates since new features have been quick to come out.
