Since the operating system is free, your hourly charge reflects the underlying compute capacity you select. You can run multiple instances across different types as needed.

Each dimension maps to one running AWS aarch64 (Arm-based) EC2 instance of that type, billed per hour it runs. The software itself is free, so the hourly rate reflects the compute capacity of the chosen instance size and family. Larger instances carry more processing, memory, or storage capacity.
The Rocky Linux software carries no charge at all, so no software fee accrues whether the instance runs or stops. Hourly charges here reflect the underlying compute you run. A stopped instance stops accruing compute charges, though AWS storage fees for attached volumes may still apply.
Each running instance bills independently at its own hourly rate for its type. Charges add together on one invoice. Your total reflects the sum of the compute capacity across every instance you run. Since the operating system is free, no per-instance software license fee is added.
