You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run, with no monthly subscription or upfront commitment. Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type, so your rate scales with the compute, memory, storage, or GPU capacity you choose. Smaller instances like t3.nano or t3.micro carry lower hourly rates, while large memory, GPU, and bare-metal types like p5.48xlarge or u7in-32tb.224xlarge cost more per hour. You start and stop anytime, and aMiSTACX charges are billed separately from AWS hosting charges. Every instance choice includes the A51 management console.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
You get a turnkey Ubuntu Server development stack running on the AWS EC2 instance type you pick. The stack includes the A51 management console. Each dimension maps to one EC2 class, so the rate reflects that instance's compute, memory, storage, or GPU capacity.
Am I charged when I stop the instance?
No. Billing is pay-as-you-go and metered per hour of use. When you stop the stack, aMiSTACX charges stop. You may still incur separate AWS charges for services you keep running, such as storage. There is no monthly subscription and no refund process needed.
Are aMiSTACX charges and AWS hosting charges billed together?
No. They are separate. The hourly rate you see covers aMiSTACX software and the A51 console. Amazon AWS bills you directly for the underlying hosting. You can lower the AWS hosting portion using AWS reserved pricing, which does not change the aMiSTACX per-hour rate.
