BIM Monkey - AI Drafting Infrastructure for Architecture Firms
BIM Monkey automates construction-document production for architecture firms using Autodesk Revit. The platform handles sheets, dimensions, details, schedules, IBC code checks, and drawing audits - all driven by an AI assistant called Banana Chat that executes commands directly inside Revit.
Runs in your own AWS account via Amazon Bedrock. Enterprise firms deploy the entire AI stack privately: Claude inference through Amazon Bedrock in their own AWS account, firm data stored in their own database with full data residency control, and no shared-API exposure.
How It Works
Banana Chat AI Assistant: A conversational interface trained on your firm's own past drawing sets and standards. Issue natural-language commands and the AI produces construction documents that follow your actual conventions - not generic templates.
Approve/Edit/Deny Review Loop: Every AI-generated output goes through a human review cycle. Approve correct work, edit where needed, or deny and retrain. The system learns your firm's preferences over time, continuously improving accuracy.
Agent Access (Hosted MCP Server): A hosted Model Context Protocol server that lets any compatible AI assistant - Claude, Cursor, Gemini, or Codex - securely query your firm's drawing library, standards, and compliance history. Extend your AI workflows beyond a single tool.
Key Capabilities
Automated sheet creation and layout
Intelligent dimensioning
Detail generation from firm libraries
Schedule production and formatting
IBC code compliance checks
Drawing audit and quality control
Firm-specific AI training from historical drawing sets
Built for AWS-Native Enterprises
BIM Monkey's Private AI architecture is designed for organizations with AWS commitments and strict security requirements:
Amazon Bedrock Integration: Claude inference runs natively in your AWS account - no data leaves your environment for AI processing.
Data Residency: Firm drawings, standards, and compliance history remain in your own database under your control.
Security Review Ready: Because the AI stack runs within your existing AWS infrastructure, procurement and IT teams can approve deployment through standard cloud governance processes.
Who It's For
Small-to-mid-size architecture firms seeking large-office drawing production capacity without scaling headcount
Enterprise architecture practices requiring private AI deployment with full data control
AWS-committed organizations looking for Bedrock-native professional tools that align with existing cloud investments
Architecture Overview
BIM Monkey consists of two components: a cloud-based SaaS platform (app.bimmonkey.ai) that manages subscriptions, AI training, and the Agent Access MCP server, plus a Revit plugin installed locally that connects Banana Chat directly to your active Revit projects. The AI inference layer leverages Amazon Bedrock within your AWS account for enterprise deployments, ensuring complete isolation of your intellectual property.

Highlights
Private AI on Amazon Bedrock - BIM Monkey runs Claude inference in your own AWS account, keeping all firm drawings, standards, and compliance data within your environment. No shared APIs, no data leaving your infrastructure. Procurement and IT teams can approve deployment through standard AWS governance processes, making security review straightforward for enterprise architecture practices with strict data residency requirements.
Firm-Trained AI That Learns Your Standards - Unlike generic templates, Banana Chat is trained on your firm's own past drawing sets and conventions through an approve/edit/deny review loop. The AI produces construction documents - sheets, dimensions, details, schedules, and IBC code checks - that match how your firm actually works. Accuracy improves continuously as your team reviews and refines output over time.
Agent Access via Hosted MCP Server - Extend your AI capabilities beyond Revit with a hosted Model Context Protocol server that lets any compatible AI assistant (Claude, Cursor, Gemini, Codex) securely query your firm's drawing library, standards, and compliance history. Small-to-mid-size firms gain large-office production leverage while enterprise teams integrate BIM Monkey into broader AI-assisted workflows across their organization.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.

One licensed BIM Monkey user seat. Each seat includes the Revit plugin with the Banana Chat AI assistant, the web platform, firm-trained AI generation, IBC code checks and drawing audits, Private AI (Claude inference runs in your own AWS account via Amazon Bedrock), data residency in your own database, and Agent Access (MCP server) for connecting AI assistants to your firm's data. Purchase one seat per team member who will use BIM Monkey. Volume pricing for 10+ seats is available via private offer - contact hello@bimmonkey.ai.
Pricing works on a single per-seat basis. You buy one seat for each team member who will use BIM Monkey. Each seat includes the same set of capabilities: the Revit plugin, the AI assistant, the web platform, firm-trained generation, code checks, Private AI running in your own AWS account, data residency in your own database, and Agent Access. There are no separate tiers to compare within the Marketplace listing. Pricing scales simply by the number of seats you purchase. For 10 or more seats, volume pricing is available through a private offer.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one seat for billing purposes?
One seat is one licensed user — each team member who works in BIM Monkey needs their own seat. Buy one seat per person. Firm-level standards, training libraries, and correction history are shared across all seated users, so uploads from any member benefit everyone.
With Private AI included, are there separate AI processing costs on top of my seat price?
Yes, but they bill to your own cloud, not to this listing. AI inference runs in your AWS account through Amazon Bedrock. Those inference costs appear on your own AWS invoice with no markup. Your seat price covers the plugin, platform, and firm training; cloud inference is metered separately by AWS.
How does my cost change as my firm adds more architects?
Cost scales directly with seat count — each new team member needs an added seat at the same per-seat rate. There are no tiers to cross. If you reach 10 or more seats, volume pricing is available through a private offer by contacting the vendor.
