The mainframe runs the business. The rules on it are decades old and were never documented. Rhino.ai is an agentic mainframe modernization platform that discovers, documents, and governs undocumented business logic from mainframe.
Rhino.ai - The System of Record for Enterprise Business Logic
Rhino.ai turns legacy mainframe environments into structured, governed logic for both human teams and agentic AI. The platform reduces the time and cost of modernization while improving delivery consistency, security, and transparency across custom-built, packaged, SaaS, and low-code applications.
Rhino.ai is an AWS AI Competency Partner, AWS Global Startup Partner, a Validated ISV Accelerate partner, and an AWS Pattern Partner.
The Problem: Undocumented Logic Across the Entire Estate
Enterprises have spent years trying to modernize COBOL. The harder problem is everything connected to it. Business logic that actually runs an enterprise is spread across Java services, .NET applications, SaaS platforms, workflow engines, and integrations built over decades. The people who understood these systems have retired, and no reverse-engineering tool that reads only the mainframe can see the full picture. Rhino connects the entire estate into one governed system of record that both human teams and AI agents can build from.
Comprehensive Discovery and Documentation
Rhino explores and reads the mainframe core natively at the source:
Mainframe: COBOL on CICS, VSAM and DB2 data, batch and JCL
Additional languages: RPG, PL/SQL, Java, .NET, SaaS platforms, and natural-language process documents
All sources are read into the same knowledge graph. Rhino traces a single business action end to end, making the risk that lives where these layers meet visible and governable.
Human and AI-Ready Deliverables
Rhino generates implementation-ready outputs consumable by both human teams and AI coding agents:
User stories, test cases, ERDs, flow diagrams, and architecture documentation
Compatible with AI coding agents: AWS Kiro, Cursor, Windsurf
Compatible with low-code platform agents: Appian Composer, ServiceNow Now Creator
Native AWS Integration
Rhino integrates deeply with AWS services:
AWS Transform: Integration through MCP
AWS Kiro: Agentic development environment
Amazon Bedrock: Agent execution
AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS: Modernized services run on AWS-native infrastructure

Highlights
Rhino reads, extracts and documents decades of undocumented logic from the full legacy estate - not just the mainframe. All sources are unified into a single knowledge graph that traces business actions end to end, making hidden dependencies and cross-system risk visible for the first time.
Rhino creates a governed knowledge graph as the single source of truth for enterprise business logic. This graph grounds both human developers and AI agents with full traceability across decades of accumulated logic. It replaces tribal knowledge that left with retired staff, giving modernization teams a structured, queryable foundation to build from with confidence.
Rhino generates implementation-ready deliverables - user stories, test cases, ERDs, flow diagrams, and architecture documentation - consumable by AI coding agents (AWS Kiro, Cursor, Windsurf) and low-code platform agents (Appian Composer, ServiceNow Now Creator). Native to AWS, Rhino integrates with AWS Transform through MCP, runs agents on Amazon Bedrock, and deploys modernized services on AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You buy an annual subscription to Rhino.ai's mainframe logic extraction, priced by the volume of code you need to analyze. The three options are tiered by lines of mainframe code covered: Mainframe Small handles up to 500K lines, Mainframe Medium up to 1.5M lines, and Mainframe Large up to 5M lines. Pick the tier that matches your estate size. As your codebase grows, you move to a tier with a higher line-count ceiling. Each tier runs for one year and covers the same extraction capability, differing only in the code volume included.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts toward the line-of-code limit in each tier?
The limit measures lines of mainframe code that Rhino reads and extracts logic from. This includes COBOL on CICS, VSAM and DB2 data, batch jobs, and JCL. Your tier ceiling caps the total code volume analyzed. Count the lines across the programs and estate you point Rhino at.
What happens if my mainframe code volume grows past my tier's line-count ceiling?
Each tier caps the lines of code covered: 500K for Small, 1.5M for Medium, and 5M for Large. If your estate exceeds your ceiling, you move to a tier with a higher limit. The subscription runs annually, so plan the tier for the code volume you expect to analyze during the year.
Does the subscription include modernizing or migrating the code, or only reading it?
The subscription covers logic extraction only. Rhino reads your mainframe logic and structures it into a governed system of record with lineage back to the source. It does not generate or migrate code itself. You feed the extracted logic into your chosen migration tools and AI agents to build the replacement.
