Overview
IBM Security Guardium Multi-Cloud Data Protection: Safeguard critical, sensitive, or regulated data wherever it resides.
A Guardium Collector can be run as a standalone instance or as part of scaled, multi-tier architecture utilizing both an Aggregator and Central Manager. An Aggregator allows for data to be consolidated and/or purged from Collectors while a Central Manager enables central administration of all Guardium instances.
Current Guardium customers can use their existing licenses.

We recommend using IBM Security Guardium version 11.2 plus any new fix bundles from Fix Central. Older versions are made available for archival purposes and may contain bugs and/or security vulnerabilities. Security bulletins contain instructions for the security vulnerability addressed therein, and may require upgrading to a newer version. What do you like best about the product?
The first thing is monitor and protect the sensitive data, and the main thing is versatile work on many database and cloud system at one place so it is easy for user to connect different cloud, early detect the risk is also the point I like about IBM guardian
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the system can be very complex for new users or for those who don’t work with it regularly. They may forget how it works, so it requires skilled or experienced staff. Cost can also be a concern for smaller companies, and if the system is not properly tuned by skilled users, it can slow down performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It addresses the security concerns of sensitive data in databases, and this benefiting me to protecting it from threats and unwanted risks on my sensitive data

What do you like best about the product?
The threat response system of this platform is the best what I like about it. Apart from it the ease it provide with managing different guidlines like GDPR, HIPAA, etc is very helpful for me personally.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main problem I face with this platform is the less availablity of resources, although the company is quick to respond in case for any reported issue. Thus increasing the the learning curve.Also the database gets full quickly if not monitored, hence requiring a almost everyday monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me in managing my organization databases, and cloud platform, keeping them secure and monitoring them.The main use case for me is the threat response and detection system.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it provides comprehensive monitoring and auditing of sensitive data across multiple databases. The real-time alerts for unusual activities are very helpful in detecting potential breaches early. It also supports compliance requirements like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS, which is a big advantage for organizations handling regulated data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product can be complex to configure initially, especially for smaller teams without prior experience in data security tools. The interface feels outdated compared to newer security platforms, and sometimes report generation can be slow. Licensing and pricing can also be on the higher side, which may be a concern for mid-sized companies.

What do you like best about the product?
Ahh At Samsung Guardium gives me clear, real- time visibility into who is accessing our database, whether its is Oracle , SQL Server or MongoDB. The built in compliances reports save us a lot of time during audits or performance analysis and even the vulnerability checks give us confidence that our systems stay secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
At Samsung , we have found Gaurdium very powerful but also quite complex. The interface feels dated a bit, and new admins face a steep learning curve. Setting up and tuning policies takes real effort - if we also had to watch the performance impact of S-TAP agents on high-traffic servers. Lastly , it is not a cheap toll, so the cost is something to consider as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ahh It helps us monitor sensitive data at Remote Management Team as our crucial module is ELT which is used to collect data from TV usage and preference and also error data so this tool helps us in simplifies in access of data in real time and simplify audit reporting and spot database risks early , saving time and improvind overall security.

The tool provides a lot of security and usability. We have never had any problems with security breaches.

So far, no problems to report, all demands were very well met.

IBM Guardium Data Protection, a data security solution, protects our sensitive information in cloud environments. It offers a comprehensive trust approach, ensuring the security of both structured and unstructured data. Guardium has helped us discover vulnerabilities, monitor data activity, automate compliance, and streamline audits.
