Usage instructions
Licensing: The web UI for this AMI is accessible at "https://<PublicIp>". To ensure consistent access, it is recommended to associate a fixed public IP with the EC2 instance using an AWS Elastic IP. The AMI must be launched in a public subnet, which requires a route to and from an Internet Gateway. Once configured, the web UI link can be bookmarked without changing. For BYOL licensing, obtain the necessary username, password, and license key by contacting us at "https://www.toolsonair.com/contact/ ". The license key can be requested after retrieving the license challenge from the Settings section of the web UI (accessible with the initial credentials). After obtaining the key, it must be entered in the web UI's Settings section. You may update the license key at any time through the same interface. Please note that the product will function only after a valid license key has been configured.
Key Pair: As this AMI is based on Ubuntu, you can use a key pair when launching the EC2 instance to enable SSH access via key-based authentication. The default username is ubuntu. An example command would be: "ssh -i private_key.pem ubuntu@<PublicIp>"
Security Group: The AMI requires multiple ingress rules, as the associated services configure their ports dynamically. Refer to the recommended security group settings below.
Role: To enable AWS Systems Manager for this AMI, attach the following managed policy to the IAM role associated with the EC2 instance: "arn:aws:iam::aws:policy/AmazonSSMManagedInstanceCore". This allows secure shell access to the instance directly through the AWS Management Console.
