Overview
Catalyst is a centralized platform for running and operating the Dapr runtime, powering durable workflows, autonomous agents, and distributed application APIs as-a-service. Catalyst Enterprise Self-Hosted enables you to deploy a dedicated Catalyst region deployment within your own infrastructure, while managing it through the Catalyst Cloud control plane. This approach combines a streamlined cloud management experience with the security, control, and flexibility of keeping your applications and data in your own environment. The Self-Hosted deployment option sits within a broader family of hosting tiers, ranging from fully managed multi-tenant cloud infrastructure to completely air-gapped environments. This allows your control plane to be managed by Diagrid, while your data plane runs entirely on your own Kubernetes cluster, giving you full data residency control without sacrificing operational simplicity.
Once deployed, your applications connect directly to the Catalyst region over your private network. This keeps data local and secure, while removing Diagrid Cloud from the critical path of your application's data flow. Diagrid Cloud continues to manage the lifecycle of resources within your region, including operational automation such as scaling, upgrades, and reliability, but your application availability and reliability remain fully under your control.
With Catalyst Self-Hosted, your platform teams retain centralized visibility, governance, and operational control, while development teams benefit from the full power of the Dapr APIs and a unified, open programming model. This includes built-in zero-trust security and identity, multi-project governance structures and access controls, and production-grade visibility into workflows and agents through traces, metrics, replay, and inspection tooling. The self-hosted model is particularly well-suited for organizations that need to meet strict data residency or compliance requirements, operate in regulated industries, or simply require that application traffic never leave their own network perimeter, while still benefiting from enterprise support and guidance from the creators and maintainers of Dapr.
Highlights
- Build AI agents and MCP servers without sacrificing reliability, security, or auditability. Enhance existing agent frameworks like Strands, OpenAI SDK and Langgraph with reliability by building-in durable workflows into your agents.
- Run and orchestrate durable workflows with end-to-end visibility, management and governance. Stop, resume, replay and monitor workflows using Catalyst in-depth workflow visualizer dashboard.
- Accelerate development and time-to-production with a unified programming model based on open-source Dapr.

Catalyst Helm chart for EKS
- Amazon EKS
Helm chart
Helm charts are Kubernetes YAML manifests combined into a single package that can be installed on Kubernetes clusters. The containerized application is deployed on a cluster by running a single Helm install command to install the seller-provided Helm chart.
Version release notes
Initial Catalyst version for AWS Marketplace.
Catalyst is Diagrid's managed Dapr-powered runtime for distributed applications, deployed via Helm to your existing Amazon EKS cluster. This version supports self-hosted regional control plane deployment via a Diagrid Cloud join token.
Known post-submission iteration items (acknowledged):
-
The CFN-deployed Lambda Custom Resource that installs the Helm chart (helm-installer) requires a clone-into-buyer-ECR pattern at deploy time, since AWS Lambda cannot directly pull container images from AWS-Marketplace-managed ECR repositories. This is a structural AWS Lambda/ECR constraint, not a listing compliance issue. Implementation in flight; will land before public availability.
-
Bitnami sidecar container images (postgresql, kafka, redis main pods) are currently pulled from Docker Hub at runtime; redirecting them to the AMMP ECR mirror requires a chart code change tracked in our internal backlog. Mirror copies are pre-staged in the listing's repositories for forward-compat.
-
A subset of dependencies in some container images contain HIGH-severity CVEs being remediated in our next iteration (within 30 days). Notable: alpine/k8s base image is approaching end-of-support; replacement strategy is in progress. helm-installer was rebuilt for this submission to clear all CRITICAL CVEs.
Note for AWS reviewer: This listing contains several legacy repository entries (prefixed diagrid/diagrid/ and one with an account-ID prefix) that were created during early integration development under an incorrect naming convention. These repositories are empty and are not referenced in this version's delivery option. We are working with Seller Operations to remove them post-submission. All images and artifacts for this version are declared in ContainerImages[] and sourced exclusively from the canonical diagrid/* repositories.

Usage instructions
- Subscribe to this product in AWS Marketplace. 2) Create a Region in Diagrid Cloud (https://cra.diagrid.io ) and copy the join token. 3) Deploy via the provided CloudFormation Quick Launch template, supplying the join token, your domain name, and contact email. 4) The CFN template provisions an EKS-compatible IAM role, runs the Catalyst Helm chart via a Custom Resource Lambda, and registers the cluster with your Diagrid Cloud control plane.
