Overview
Pragmatic Odoo Community Edition is a pre-configured, secured, optimized and ready to run image for running Odoo on Amazon EC2 in a production mode. Odoo Community Edition has accounting that is easier to use and configure and has new components for accountants. It has the newly introduced Document Management module, to share documents amongst your team, and an IoT (internet of things) module, to manage your IoT devices. Odoo also has multi-website management and a new payment acquirer method - Alipay. Functional people can edit and style reports using the Odoo studio and it is easier than ever. Odoo 12 is the most robust, flexible, yet easy to use Odoo available till date. You can also run a Construction, Real Estate, Heath-care Clinic Hospital,Dental, University, Rental, Hotel, Restaurant, Travel agency, Vehicle Fleets, Management Consulting, Legal Services, Manufacturing, Loan Management Companies with Odoo.

The software itself is free, so you pay only for the AWS EC2 instance you run it on. Pricing is billed per hour and varies by the instance type you choose. You select from many EC2 sizes across families such as general purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and GPU instances. Larger instances cost more per hour than smaller ones. Your choice depends on how many system users you need to support. No license fee applies; the hourly rate reflects only AWS hosting for the instance you launch.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The software itself is free, so no license charge applies at any time. When your instance is stopped, you stop paying the AWS hourly compute charge. You may still owe AWS for attached storage tied to the stopped instance. Only running instance-hours drive the compute cost.
Your user count drives the choice. The vendor suggests a small general purpose instance for up to 30 users, medium for up to 100, and large for up to 200. Larger instances cost more per hour. The instance family and size you launch set the AWS hourly rate.
You pay only the AWS EC2 hosting rate for the running instance. One billing unit is one instance-hour at the rate for the size you launch. The pre-configured image, installed modules, and database backups carry no separate license fee. Support and customization services are billed separately by the vendor.

I like this stack very well although you should be aware you will have to update several modules to clear up errors.
The only odd thing was using SFTP to get to files lead no where but empty folders, still working on that one.
Overall a seamless deployment, quick and easy.

Post-installation (after EC2 instance is active) instructions (link to Pragmatic URL) are very (VERY) out of date and not applicable to a Odoo 11.X install. Very frustrating. Pragmatic needs to update their installation guides ASAP. I've wasted too much company time trying to troubleshoot something that should be very simple (and well documented).

Unable to find the ssh user to ssh in.

the install of the AMI was smooth, and the odoo application was able to be installed.
However, when I tried to ssh to the server, I found that the regular ids ( ubuntu, root, ec2-user, etc ) don't work. i also tried to guess about some users like openerp and odoo, but no luck there too.
This is not documented, and has led to many hours of frustration.

It is easy to install and find password than Bitnami, it does not come with banner at bottom right side of screen. It is run smooth!
