🧰 Available Tools This MCP server supports the following tools (and more):

Location & Address Tools

• geocode_address - Converts addresses/place names into GPS coordinates (lat/lng)
• reverse_geocode - Converts coordinates back into addresses and location info

Search Tools

• find_nearby - Finds POIs and businesses around a location within a specified radius (restaurants, shops, hospitals, hotels, transport stations, etc.)
• find_stores - Searches for specific store brands or chains by name
• get_place_details - Retrieves detailed information about a specific place (hours, contact, ratings, address)

Mapping

• create_static_map - Generates customizable map images with markers, polygons, polylines, and adjustable zoom levels

📋 Prerequisites For Woosmap Organisation Owner

Perform the following steps on your deployment via the Woosmap Console:

1. Create a dedicated project for your MCP usages → Get Started 
2. Enable products on your project.
3. Create a dedicated secured Private API Key with proper restrictions.

For Woosmap User

Perform the following steps on your device:

1. Install an MCP client, such as Claude.
2. Follow the Authentication and Claude Desktop Setup processes described below.

🔐 Authentication

Replace PRIVATE_KEY with your actual private API key in the following configuration.

⚠️ The MCP client will have the same privileges as any integration associated with the private key.
Private API keys are credentials — guard them closely and do not share them with anyone who doesn’t explicitly need access to Woosmap platform services.
Refer to the best practices to Register a Woosmap Private API Key .

🤖 Claude Desktop Setup

Step 1 — Edit the Configuration File

Create or edit the configuration file:

• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Add the following code:

Step 2 — Enable Developer Mode

Create or edit the developer settings file:

• Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\developer_settings.json
