Overview

CASK - A short walkthrough
CASK is a multi-tenant workshop and aftersales management platform for automotive dealers and service networks. It is deployed as a container in the customer's own AWS account (BYOC).
CASK is an enterprise workshop and aftersales platform for automotive dealer groups, delivered as containers that run in your own AWS account (bring-your-own-cloud), so your operational data never leaves your environment.
The platform covers the complete aftersales lifecycle. Workshop operations: customer appointments, service orders, job cards, technician and bay scheduling with a live plan board, quality inspections, and gate passes. Parts and warehouse: catalog, procurement, multi-location stock, transfers, lot and shelf-life tracking, stock counts, and counter (over-the-counter) parts sales. Commercial: invoicing with tax-regime support including India GST, advance and deposit handling, discounts, packages, campaigns, and coupon schemes. Customer care: warranty claims, free-service coupons, pre-delivery inspections, complaint case management, feedback capture, and outbound customer communications. Management: role-based dashboards and an operational report catalog with CSV and spreadsheet export.
CASK is multi-tenant by design: each dealer entity operates in an isolated schema with per-tenant module entitlements and role-based access on a canonical role model, making it suitable for dealer groups and OEM dealer networks. An integration hub connects the platform to brand-network data sources through governed, versioned interfaces, keeping core operations independent of external system availability.
The product runs on Amazon ECS with PostgreSQL and Redis, ships with automated database migrations and health checks, and meters usage through AWS Marketplace on completed service orders and vehicle repair days - you pay for outcomes processed, not seats. Deployment guidance and onboarding support are provided by PlinthosLab; contact us through the listing for guided setup
Highlights
- Built for OEM dealer networks at scale - one multi-tenant deployment serves your entire national dealer network, designed to grow from a single workshop to 1,000+ dealers. Dealer-level isolation and role-based access keep every dealer independent under centralized OEM control, while brand and country variation ships as configuration packs - no code forks, faster market rollouts.
- Internal SaaS in your own AWS cloud (BYOC) - CASK deploys as containers into your own AWS account, giving you full ownership of infrastructure, data, and operational control. Your dealer network data stays within your environment, encrypted with your own keys. A governed integration hub connects ERP, CRM, and OEM systems without ever blocking core workshop operations.
- Pay for outcomes, comply by configuration - usage is metered per completed service order and per vehicle repair day, so costs track the service volume your network delivers, with per-dealer visibility in your own AWS Cost Explorer. Country compliance ships as configuration packs; the current release embeds India GST with HSN/SAC support.

CASK container deployment (BYOC)
- Amazon ECS
Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Usage instructions
CASK deploys into your AWS account as two containers. 1) Provision a PostgreSQL 15 database (RDS recommended) and optionally Redis 7. 2) Run the cask-api image as an ECS service, providing the database connection string, JWT secret, and deployment settings (CASK_SEGMENT, CASK_COUNTRY, CASK_BRAND) as environment variables or secrets; the API applies its own database migrations at startup. 3) Run the cask-web image as an ECS service behind your load balancer, routing /api/* requests to the API service. Detailed deployment guidance and a CloudFormation quick-launch are provided during onboarding. Contact support@plinthoslab.com for assistance.
