You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type, so your rate scales with the compute, memory, and CPU resources that instance provides. Burstable general-purpose instances (t2 and t3 families) range from nano and micro sizes up to 2xlarge. General-purpose m3, m4, and m5 large instances, compute-optimized c3, c4, and c5 large instances, and memory-optimized r3, r4, and r5 large instances are also offered. You choose the instance that fits your workload and pay only for hours used.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for each instance type?
One unit is one running EC2 instance of the chosen type, billed per hour. The rate reflects that instance's compute, memory, and CPU. For example, an r5.large runs the software on a memory-optimized instance, while a c5.large runs it on a compute-optimized instance. You pick one type per deployment.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
Software charges meter running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly software fees. Underlying AWS resources, such as attached storage, may still bill separately while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
What support is included with this listing?
The vendor provides maintenance support and 24/7 assistance covering performance monitoring, security updates, and continuous operation. Support for third-party products used alongside the software is your responsibility, and the vendor does not guarantee integration support for components that are not part of the delivered software.
