    Overview

    Cloudworx Process Twin Platform is a browser-native industrial digital twin, deployed and operated on Amazon Web Services within the customer's own AWS account. It streams complex CAD, BIM, IoT, MES and SCADA data into a live 3D operations view that runs on standard laptops, tablets, and control-room displays, with no local installation.

    The platform renders 3D geometry in the browser using WebGL, which removes the need for a dedicated GPU rendering fleet. All ingestion, storage, analytics, and AI workloads run on AWS managed services, so operators gain real-time plant visibility while the customer retains full control of data and cost inside their own AWS environment.

    How it works on AWS:

    Cloudworx deploys into the customer's AWS account with VPC isolation and consumes the following AWS services:

    • Ingestion and connectivity: AWS IoT Core and AWS IoT Greengrass connect plant OT and edge gateways over MQTT and OPC UA. Amazon Kinesis Data Streams and Kinesis Data Firehose buffer high-frequency telemetry. Amazon API Gateway exposes REST and WebSocket endpoints. AWS Direct Connect links the plant network to AWS.
    • Data and storage: Amazon Timestream for time-series machine telemetry, Amazon Neptune for the asset knowledge graph, Amazon Redshift for the analytical warehouse, Amazon DocumentDB for recipes, incidents, and configuration, Amazon ElastiCache for Redis for live state and fan-out, and Amazon S3 as the data lake for raw events, 3D assets, and models.
    • Compute and delivery: Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS run the containerised platform services, with Elastic Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, and Amazon Route 53. AI and analytics: Amazon SageMaker trains, evaluates, and hosts predictive and optimisation models. Amazon Bedrock provides managed foundation models and an agent runtime for root-cause analysis and operator assistance, with Amazon OpenSearch Service supporting retrieval. Inference runs against managed endpoints inside the customer VPC.
    • Security and operations: AWS IAM and Amazon Cognito for role-based access, AWS KMS for encryption at rest, AWS WAF, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub, and AWS CloudTrail for protection and audit, and Amazon CloudWatch for observability. Infrastructure is provisioned through AWS CloudFormation.
