Brooksource’s Smart Spend is a fully funded OLA, aimed to help you gain clarity on VMware licensing in AWS. This three-week complimentary assessment is designed to be low effort to initiate, typically requiring only an RVTools export, with no system access or disruption to your team. From there, we analyze real usage, licensing models, and performance to surface cost-saving opportunities, rightsizing options, and migration readiness. You’ll receive an in-depth report, along with options and recommendations for a path forward considering timelines, workloads, and a financial roadmap.

Our Process

Phase 1 — Clarity (3 Weeks | AWS-Funded) A forensic look at your environment assessing cost, risk, pace, scale, fit, and confidence. You receive a Capital Reallocation Strategy, AWS funding estimate, and a prioritized path forward at no cost to you.

Phase 2 — Decision (1–2 Weeks | No Cost) We translate findings and provide your migration options brief, complete with costs, timelines, workload mapping, and a financial roadmap showing how freed capital flows through each phase.

Phase 3 — Launch (Scope-Dependent | Eligible for Vendor Funding) Execution. AWS infrastructure is provisioned, migrations are run per your chosen path, and we manage live cutover with minimal business disruption – then validate that your projected savings are realized.

Phase 4 — Transform (Scope-Dependent | Eligible for Vendor Funding) Freed capital becomes a competitive advantage through data modernization, cloud-native application adoption, and a continuous optimization program for ongoing cost and performance improvement.
