The software itself is free, so you pay only for the AWS EC2 instance that runs it, billed hourly. You choose from eight instance types that differ by compute, memory, and processor family. The t3 and t3a options span small, medium, and large sizes for lighter workloads. The m5 and m5a large options offer more memory-balanced capacity. Larger instances carry a higher hourly rate. Pick the size that matches your expected meeting load. You can start with a smaller instance and move to a larger one as your needs grow.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You are billed per hour that the EC2 instance runs. Each type maps to a set amount of virtual CPUs and memory. The t3 and t3a small, medium, and large sizes step up in compute and RAM. The m5 and m5a large options give memory-balanced capacity. The software adds no charge.
Hourly charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly compute charges. You may still pay AWS for attached storage kept on standby. Since the software is free, you avoid per-meeting or API charges when the instance is active.
You run one instance at a time and pick the size that fits your load. To grow, you switch to a type with more compute or memory. Because it uses mesh topology, each participant connects directly, which suits small groups. Larger participant counts need a bigger instance.

Usage instructions
Launch Instructions
Subscribe to the JupiterMeet Lite AWS Marketplace listing and launch an EC2 instance using the provided AMI.
Select an x86_64 EC2 instance type suitable for your expected meeting usage. For basic testing, we recommend at least 2 vCPUs and 2 GiB RAM. For better performance, select an instance with higher CPU, memory, and stable network bandwidth.
During instance launch, select "Create new security group". AWS Marketplace will automatically create the recommended security group with the required inbound rules for JupiterMeet Lite.
Configure a domain or subdomain and point its DNS A record to the EC2 instance public IP address.
Open the application setup URL on port 8080 in a browser: http://yourdomain.com:8080
Follow the on-screen setup process by providing the required domain and email details.
JupiterMeet Lite is an open source & self hosted video conferencing platform.
Once the initial setup has been completed on your domain and the SSL certificates are healthy, copy and save all generated credentials.
Then open the installation URL: https://yourdomain.com/install
Complete the JupiterMeet Lite setup by providing the required admin credentials and database credentials generated during the previous step.
Your JupiterMeet Lite application should now be ready to use.

After setup, you can configure additional settings for the application from the admin dashboard.
