Overview Apache NiFi is a powerful open source platform for automating the flow of data between systems. It provides a web based, drag and drop interface to build, schedule and monitor data routing, transformation and system mediation logic at scale. This image delivers NiFi fully installed and configured as a single node deployment, so a complete dataflow automation platform is running within minutes of launch. The current release available is the latest stable Apache NiFi 2.x.
Application Stack Apache NiFi installed from the official Apache binary distribution and run under a dedicated unprivileged service account, supervised by systemd. NiFi serves its web console over HTTPS on the loopback interface; an nginx reverse proxy terminates HTTPS on port 443 and forwards to the NiFi listener (plain HTTP on port 80 redirects to HTTPS), with the NiFi proxy host whitelist configured for the instance address. The NiFi repositories and flow definition live on a dedicated, independently resizable data volume.
Secure First Boot On the first boot of your instance a one shot service generates a fresh single user login password, unique to that instance, rotates the flow sensitive properties key, configures the proxy host, and writes the credentials to a root only file. No shared or default credentials ship in the image.
Ready To Use The NiFi service, the nginx reverse proxy, the data repositories and the administrator login are all configured and start on boot. Browse to the instance address and sign in to design flows on the NiFi canvas, drag in processors, connect them and monitor live throughput.
cloudimg Support 24/7 technical support by email and chat. Help with NiFi deployment, upgrades, flow design, processor configuration, performance tuning and clustering guidance.
Use Cases Data ingestion and routing between systems. Real time and batch ETL. Log and event stream collection. System mediation and protocol translation. IoT and edge data collection.

Usage instructions
Connect via SSH on port 22 as the default login user for your operating system variant (the user guide lists it per variant). The NiFi web console is served over HTTPS on port 443 by an nginx reverse proxy that forwards to the NiFi listener; plain HTTP on port 80 redirects to HTTPS. Browse to https://<instance-public-ip>/ (the edge certificate is self-signed, so accept the browser warning, or install your own certificate per the user guide) and sign in as the 'admin' user. Retrieve the generated password with: sudo cat /root/apache-nifi-credentials.txt. The NiFi repositories live under /var/lib/nifi.
