Hardened Windows Server 2016 Standard - Simplified Chinese

This product provides the Windows Server 2016 Standard Desktop Experience build and Simplified Chinese localization identified in the published release manifest, delivered as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) by Hanwei. The image applies Hanwei's versioned security-hardening baseline, records its build-date Windows update state, and is constructed without embedded customer credentials or account-specific configuration.

Marketplace software charges cover Hanwei's operating-system preparation, Simplified Chinese localization preparation, application of the verified security-hardening baseline, build-date update recording, credential-free AMI construction, repeatable image build process, and bounded final-image testing. Hanwei support is supplementary and is not the sole basis for Marketplace software charges. Applicable Microsoft Windows Server licensing, EC2, and Marketplace charges are determined by the final AWS and Seller Portal terms.

Windows Server 2016 follows Microsoft's Fixed Lifecycle Policy and is in its final extended-support period. Microsoft lifecycle information displayed in Pacific Time lists mainstream support ending on January 12, 2022 and extended support ending on January 13, 2027. Customers should use a currently supported Windows Server release. Temporary use requires an approved exception defining permitted scope, compensating controls, vulnerability monitoring, patch decision ownership, an upgrade target, and a time-bounded migration plan. Successful launch, activation, or testing does not make this release suitable for every security, compliance, or operational requirement.

• Standard Desktop Experience and localization: Hanwei prepares the Windows Server 2016 Standard Desktop Experience and Simplified Chinese settings identified in the final release manifest, including verified display language, locale, input, and time zone.
• Versioned hardening and build-date baseline: Hanwei applies the verified Windows security profile and records its effective controls/exceptions, Windows build, edition, installation type, cumulative-update KBs, servicing state, update source, and image-build date.
• Credential-free construction and bounded testing: The AMI contains no reusable customer password, private key, cloud or domain credential, certificate private key, application secret, or account-specific endpoint configuration. Final-image checks cover EC2 launch/restart, activation, edition/build, Desktop Experience, language/locale, configured administrative access, update state, security-profile controls, and credential absence on the recorded baseline.

• The final release record identifies the administrator-password workflow, RDP/NLA state, Windows Firewall profile, local-user policy, remote-management configuration, and restart behavior verified on the AMI. No unverified access state is implied.
• Windows build, cumulative-update KBs, servicing state, update source, and image-build date are recorded for this release. Customers must manage, test, and schedule eligible updates after launch.
• The product must derive from an AWS/Microsoft-authorized Windows Server Standard base and retain applicable licensing, activation, billing, and usage metadata. This listing does not establish License Included, BYOL, dedicated-host, shared-tenancy, or other Windows licensing rights.

• This is an operating-system foundation. Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, application workloads, domain join, Remote Desktop Services, performance, availability, backup/restoration, disaster recovery, compliance, and security outcomes are not implied unless separately tested and documented.
• Customers configure networking, identity, RDP, certificates, endpoint protection, logging, applications, licensing, backup, monitoring, recovery, and the approved EOL exception and migration plan. They must validate the final Windows build, Desktop Experience, Simplified Chinese settings, updates, and selected EC2 instance.

Marketplace charges cover the Hanwei preparation, localization, verified hardening, build-date update record, credential-free construction, repeatable build, bounded EC2 validation, and supplementary support. EC2 and applicable Windows licensing charges follow final AWS and Seller Portal terms.

Windows Server is proprietary Microsoft software. Microsoft retains its trademarks and intellectual-property rights. Use of Windows Server and related names identifies the operating-system base and does not imply Microsoft or AWS affiliation, certification, approval, support, or endorsement of Hanwei. Hanwei must complete applicable AWS, Microsoft, Marketplace, licensing, image-derivation, redistribution, EULA, and trademark review before publication.
