This product uses AWS Data Exchange for Amazon S3. You get direct read access to Apache Parquet files in our S3 bucket — no file downloads, no revision management, no storage costs on your end.

- SchoolDigger Star Rating (0-5): Our proprietary quality rating derived from each state's standardized test results. Provides a simple, consistent quality indicator across all 50 states — even though each state uses different tests and scoring systems.
What is the Star Rating?
SchoolDigger's star rating converts each state's standardized test results into a 0-5 scale. Schools are rated within their state and school level (elementary, middle, high), so a 5-star elementary school in Texas is the top of Texas elementary schools. This gives you a quick, comparable quality signal without needing to interpret raw test score data yourself.
