PureStamp charges by usage across two independent metrics. You pay per call to the watermark issue API, counted as WatermarksIssued units. You separately pay per call to the watermark verification API, counted as Verification API Calls units. These two dimensions are not tiers and do not depend on each other. Each is billed on its own count. Signing runs on AWS KMS, so issuing a watermark and verifying one later are distinct actions with distinct charges. Your total cost scales with how often you call each API.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one WatermarksIssued unit versus one Verification API Call?
One WatermarksIssued unit is a single call to the issue API, which signs one AI-generated output at creation. One Verification API Call is a single call to the verify API, which confirms an artifact's origin and integrity. Each API call counts as one unit, regardless of the content size.
Which dimension drives most of my bill — issuing watermarks or verifying them?
It depends on your workflow. Signing every AI output raises WatermarksIssued counts. Frequent audits or on-demand checks raise Verification API Calls. Both meters bill independently and appear together. If you verify each artifact many times after signing it once, verification calls can outweigh issue calls.
Am I charged again when I verify an artifact I signed earlier?
Yes. Issuing a watermark and verifying one are separate billable actions. Signing an output charges one WatermarksIssued unit. Each later verification of that same artifact charges one Verification API Call. Verifying the same artifact multiple times adds a verification charge each time.
