This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for a pre-hardened, AWS-optimized image with verifiable evidence and maintenance. Based on AlmaLinux 8.10, this AMI is hardened, tuned for Amazon EC2 workloads, and equipped with a complete evidence pack and Software Bill of Materials (SBOM).

Instead, each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, and your hourly software rate follows the instance you choose. Smaller instances like t-series and large sizes carry lower hourly rates. Larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances carry higher rates that scale with instance size. You select the instance type that fits your workload, run it as needed, and the hourly software charge applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs.

The rate covers the hardened AlmaLinux 8.10 image. Hardening follows industry baselines, with minimized attack surface, firewall configuration, and access controls. The software charge sits on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs for the instance you run. You pay the vendor rate plus AWS compute and storage separately.
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. Stopped instances do not accrue the software rate. You may still pay standard AWS storage fees for attached volumes while stopped. The software license meters running hours for the chosen instance type only.
Each dimension maps to one specific EC2 instance type, billed per running hour. One unit equals one hour of a single running instance of that type. If you run several instances, each accrues its own hourly rate. Larger instance sizes carry higher hourly software rates.
