Terminology and workflows are aligned more closely with Cisco License Central to reduce learning effort for users managing hybrid environments Cisco License On-Prem helps in managing the assets on-premises that work in conjunction with Cisco License Central (software.cisco.com). It enables customers to administer products and licenses on their premises, instead of having to directly connect Smart License-Enabled devices to Cisco License Central hosted on Cisco.com.
Cisco License On-Prem (CLP) DISA STIG is a DISA STIG-hardened deployment option for Cisco License On-Prem Version 10 Release 202606 on AWS. It is designed for customers who require a security-hardened operating system and administrative baseline while preserving core Cisco License On-Prem functionality.

Smart Software Manager On-Prem(SSM) is redesigned as Cisco License On-Prem(CLP) in Version 10 Release 202606. This release introduces the new On-Prem Accounts Overview landing page, consolidated account-level visibility, dedicated SLP Device Synchronization, unified synchronization with Cisco License Central, theme selection, AI Assistant, Device Manager and controller visibility, Okta verification support, and Device-Led Conversion settings management.
This release also improves accessibility, standardizes success confirmations, enhances device and license alerts, expands device inventory context, improves search and filtering, centralizes event logs, and includes security package updates with resolved vulnerabilities.

Usage Instructions and Documentation Links for Cisco License On-Prem (CLP) DISA STIG
1)Launch the instance using a supported instance type such as t3.xlarge or larger. Allow HTTPS access to port 8443 for the Cisco License On-Prem web interface. If SSH access is required, allow port 22 from your administrator network.
2)After the instance starts, open https://<instance-public-dns-or-ip>:8443/admin and complete the initial setup workflow. Sign in with the documented admin account, complete the password change prompt, confirm the host common name, and finish the initial configuration steps.
3)For OS-level SSH access, use the instance key pair and the OS username almalinux. Password-based SSH login is disabled.
4)If customer devices will register directly to Cisco License On-Prem, allow the required product communication ports based on your deployment design, including HTTPS 443 and HTTP 80 where applicable. Refer to the Cisco License On-Prem Installation Guide, User Guide, Console Guide, and Release Notes for post-launch configuration, synchronization, and HA setup.
