    Overview

Get accurate financial insights into your most critical suppliers with RapidRatings FHR®, and monitor risk levels across your supplier network with instant HealthMark® ratings. The FHR and HealthMark can be used independently or in combination to provide the ultimate supplier risk management solution. Understand and manage supplier risk. Building and managing a resilient supply chain is critical to the function of your business.

Our solution allows companies to proactively monitor and identify potential risks in their global supply chains - before they become disruptions. The FHR detects financial instability in suppliers on average 12 months before they start disrupting your business - giving you valuable time to mitigate risk and prevent disruption.

    FHR® solution

RapidRatings analyzes private and public company financial statements to produce consistent, accurate ratings and reports for all their suppliers, globally. A company's financial health rating is an accurate and predictive indicator of its future performances as a business partner, credit obligor, or supplier. The FHR projects reliable forecasts of the 12-month and long-term outlooks of the companies that touch your business and predicts probabilities of default with proven, high accuracy. We have eliminated the uncertainty that comes with qualitative, market-data-driven payment history, and other subjective ratings.

The FHR is a common language that procurement, sourcing, finance, and credit teams can all use to make more informed decisions. It is not only the cornerstone of RapidRatings, but also an industry standard for determining a company's viability. The FHR offers clients predictive disruption insights with a thorough, objective view of a public or private company's financial health and risk of default.

    How is the FHR Generated?

We use a proven proprietary algorithm that spots bankruptcy risks and other financial threats years in advance to create accurate financial health ratings. Our 24 industry sector models use actual financial data, which is quantitative data found solely in financial statements. Using financial statements for both public and private companies, our models analyze a particular company's risk and generate an FHR, a rating from 0 to 100 that indicates the company's overall financial health.

    Streamlined outreach

Due to the nature of financial reporting, it's difficult to get a full picture of a private company's financial health. Nearly 75% of suppliers and vendors are private companies, which makes access to accurate, comprehensive financial data critical to detecting a decline early before it can harm your business. RapidRatings sources private company financial statements from over 150+ countries. Our dedicated team obtains and analyzes the financial statements of your private suppliers or vendors - freeing up valuable time for you to focus on core business activities.

    HealthMark®

HealthMark is a 1-5 rating giving you instant visibility on over 100 million private companies globally. HealthMark uses robust financial data trends to predict which members of your supply chain have the highest probability of being in financial distress, giving you the power to manage risk and prevent disruption. The model is built on a well-established and widely recognized link between supplier insolvency risk and key financial characteristics identified through financial statement analysis.

HealthMark calculates risk prediction scores using RapidRatings high-quality FHR® dataset, combined with firmographic and selected financial data. Its dynamic methodology and regularly updated data sources ensure you stay responsive to real-time market changes. Location filters allow you to specify the city, state, and country of the company you are searching for and get a rapid overview of risk hot spots within your supply chain. HealthMark uses robust financial data trends to predict which members of your supply chain have the highest probability of being in financial distress, giving you the power to manage risk and prevent disruption.

    Highlights

    • The FHR offers clients predictive disruption insights with a thorough, objective view of a public or private company's financial health and risk of default.
    • The FHR is determined through a combination of near- and long-term resilience and efficiency indicators. The algorithms are fueled by 12+ million company-years of financial data across dozens of industry-specific models.
    • We outperform our competitors so you can outperform yours. Other financial risk providers rely solely on broad estimations and qualitative assessments, resulting in false alarms and missed opportunities. Our predictive analytics model gives you a clear understanding of resilience and short-term risk of default. Whether you need an immediate risk pulse or a deep dive into critical suppliers and vendors, we give you the financial insight you require.

What do you like best about the product?
RapidRatings is an effective and useful tool in our TPRM program. The tool is easy to use. Any time we need help, the customer service we receive from RapidRatings is quick and efficient. We use it to evaluate the financial health of our potential third parties as well as pull it periodically on our existing third parties. It's helpful because the reports clearly show the financial health of a company and can help us spot potential risks that may arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a supplier doesn't have an FHR score, the insights can be limited. They do still offer the healthmark score to help in assessing financial health of a third party.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use RapidRatings to see the financial health of potential vendors at initial due diligence and existing vendors periodically throughout the life of the relationship. This helps us see potential risks of working with financially unstable vendors or getting ahead of possible risks with the trends RapidRatings sees in the financials.

Great experience, easy platform and insightful reports

What do you like best about the product?
Rapid Ratings is helpful because it gives a clear score (FHR and CHS ) that shows how financially healthy a company is, which helps you spot risks early. It also provides reports with questions you can use to talk to suppliers about their financial situation. One of the biggest advantages is that it covers both public and private companies, and its analysis looks forward, not just at past data. This helps you make better decisions, save time, and reduce the risk of working with financially unstable suppliers. Another benefit of using Rapid Ratings is that it helps organizations prioritize their resources more effectively. By clearly identifying which suppliers pose higher financial risks, we can focus our time and mitigation efforts where is necessary. This targeted approach improves efficiency and supports smarter, more strategic decision-making across the supply chain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, private companies may not provide enough financial data, which can result in missing or incomplete reports. New users may need time to fully understand how to interpret the FHR scores, financial dialogue reports, and how to integrate them into internal processes. Additionally, the platform relies on supplier cooperation, if a supplier doesn’t share their financials, the insights are limited. Another limitation of Rapid Ratings is that it does not always effectively capture complex ownership structures or recent changes in company ownership. In cases where a business operates under multiple legal entities, holding companies, or has undergone mergers or restructurings, there can be confusion about which entity is being assessed. This can lead to misinterpretation of the financial health data and may require additional due diligence to fully understand the corporate context.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid Ratings is used as a strategic tool to assess the financial health of suppliers as part of the company’s broader supplier risk management program. By leveraging the Financial Health Rating (FHR) and financial dialogue reports, We can proactively identify suppliers that may pose a financial risk to its operations. This allows us to take early action, such as engaging in discussions with suppliers, developing mitigation plans, or adjusting sourcing strategies to ensure supply chain continuity and resilience. Rapid Ratings also supports internal alignment across procurement, finance, and risk teams by providing consistent, data-driven insights into supplier stability.

What do you like best about the product?
RapidRatings has proven to be a highly effective and reliable tool in our TPRM framework, particularly when it comes to evaluating the financial health of private companies. The platform’s automated alerts are another strong point.
RapidRatings also supports direct outreach to suppliers, which helps streamline the due diligence process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Private Outreach process can take 3–4 weeks, and vendors sometimes delay or refuse to participate.
Per contract, outreach efforts are often restricted and must be reserved for critical vendors. This limits the scalability of the tool for broader vendor populations. Although the system provides alerts, Relationship Managers still need to manually follow up with vendors and track outreach statuses, which can be resource-intensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RapidRatings has become a cornerstone in our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, particularly for evaluating the financial health of private companies. Its Financial Health Rating (FHR) system and alerting capabilities have helped streamline risk assessments and improve responsiveness to vendor financial instability.
