Overview
Are you frustrated by inaccurate printed parts? Recoater blade crashes? Delamination? Is your metal printing build preparation expert overloaded? Siemens Industry Software has your back! Simply upload your part as an STL file and let AM Build Optimizer give you back an orientation and support strategy that will print correctly the first time!
Siemens' AM Build Optimizer uses a proprietary process simulation algorithm called the Thermal Circuit Network (TCN). The TCN directly simulates the thermal dynamics of the metal powderbed fusion process, as well as the mechanical effects of that thermal gradient. In fact, the simulation is so fast and accurate that we can process 100 orientations before other, less accurate simulation methods can process a single orientation. AM Build Optimizer leverages this capability to optimize the orientation of a part to minimize thermal and stress induced distortion.
AM Build Optimizer will return accurate simulation data and automatically generated support structures for four objectives: 1)Minimum Part Distortion, 2) Minimum Build Time, 3) Minimum Support Removal, 4) Minimum Material Consumption. The simulation data includes part distortion, build time, and total sintered material. The software as a service includes an easy-to-use comparison tool to allow you and your customer to collaboratively choose the best build strategy to achieve the desired results.
Siemens AM Build Optimizer offers an AWS U.S. Gov Cloud option for ITAR restricted parts.
Other features available include automated 2D nesting, support structure customization, distortion compensation, and build quoting. You can even generate a build simulation with supports designed in another tool!
Metal powderbed fusion build preparation has been a black art that is only mastered after years of mistakes. Scale your operation by turning that black art into a science and make all of your build preparation engineers experts with AM Build Optimizer. Try it today for free!
