Short Description: Comprehensive and diverse data on including holdings, classifications and performance data for over 11,000 global ETF’s.

    Overview

Overview: With several years of experience collecting, cleaning and aggregating ETF data, CFRA maintains a robust and comprehensive database of constituent holdings, reference and classifications, and key performance statistics for global ETF’s.

The classifications and reference data we capture, consists of ~90 columns that give detailed information about an ETF. These granular details include asset class, expense ratio, index name, index weighting scheme, smart beta type and specific investment objectives, and are great for everything from helping our clients understand the characteristics of an ETF, to generating meaningful peer groups.

Our holdings data, details all the constituent securities in each ETF with names, identifiers, and the weights for each security to give great transparency, and allowing our clients to fully understand the drivers behind risk or opportunity in an investment.

To complete the dataset, we collect key ETF performance data, including prices, NAV’s, flows, returns and much more, all of which is collected and published for multiple time periods. Our data is available right now for over 11,000 ETF’s in North America, Europe, and 5 key APAC markets, with additional markets to be added throughout 2021, until we reach full global coverage.

    Use Cases:

Given the diversity of the dataset, we see a multitude of use cases, but the most prominent amongst our client base are:

Product Managers at Sponsors: The breadth of our data and the coverage we offer means these consumers can identify trends in the market, seeing what is working and what is not, then leverage that insight to innovate and enhance. Simply put, our data empowers our clients to build great products.

Institutional Asset Management ETF Investors: for everyone from analysts to portfolio managers and risk managers, data is king. Picking the right ETF’s to invest in, and minimizing downside risk relies on high quality, broad, deep and timely data. We deliver just that, so our clients can focus on what they do best.

Wealth Management ETF Investors and Fintech Firms: Using our highly detailed data, our Wealth Management customers identify investment opportunities for their clients that are perfectly suited to their investment goals and priorities. Custom triggers to monitor performance and mitigate risk, can then be set, and data included in periodic performance reports. Our data is available via our award winning API too, so it can be displayed directly in our client’s web and mobile apps, as well as fund screening and selection tools.
