A single security management console delivers consistent visibility, policy management, logging, reporting and control across all cloud environments and networks
Check Point Security Management provides advanced security management platform for enterprises to be more efficient at deploying protections across their organizations and across public, private and hybrid clouds. Efficient: Automation and granular delegation help alleviate operational overhead. The Security Management API allows security teams to automate any task or create web portals for security self-service. Management interface features anticipate the administrator's daily needs, providing security intelligence to make better policy decisions. Fully Integrated: Security Management has logging, monitoring, event correlation and reporting in one place. A visual dashboard provides full visibility into security across the network, helping organizations monitor the status of enforcement points and stay alert to potential threats. The customizable dashboard provides a full view of the security posture and drilldown capabilities into incident or log details. Reports are configurable and accessible from any web browser. Security Management is required to control CloudGuard Network Security Gateways. To maintain the highest quality and security of our management solutions, Check Point recommends installing the latest recommended Jumbo Hotfix, especially after the initial deployment.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour for the Amazon EC2 instance that runs this security management software. Pricing is not tiered by feature; every instance type delivers the same management capabilities. Instead, each hourly rate maps to a specific EC2 instance size and family, including the c5, c6i, c6in, c7i, m5, m6a, m6i, m7a, m7i, m8i, r5, r5a, r5b, r5n, r6i, and r7a series. Larger instances carry more compute, memory, or network capacity and bill at higher hourly rates. You choose the instance that matches your workload and scale up or down as needed.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged when the EC2 instance running the software is stopped or powered off?
You pay the software rate per hour only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly software charges. Underlying AWS resources such as storage may still bill separately, but the software license meters running time only.
What do I actually get for the hourly rate I select?
Each hourly rate maps to one running EC2 instance of the chosen family and size. That instance runs the security management software, giving you one console for policy, threat prevention, logging, monitoring, and gateway lifecycle management. Larger instances provide more compute, memory, or network capacity for higher workloads.
Do bigger instance types unlock more management features, or just more capacity?
Every instance type delivers the same management capabilities. Instance choice affects capacity, not features. A larger instance handles more managed gateways, higher log rates, and more storage-driven workloads. You pick the size to match your scale, then move up or down as needs change.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Once the instance is running, connect to it using SSH, set an admin password using: 'set user admin password' followed by 'save config'. Then connect to https://[instance] using Internet Explorer (IE) to finalize the configuration.
Notes:
SSH password authentication is disabled in /etc/ssh/sshd_config
