Overview
This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support and maintenance by Apps4Rent.
The Chef Infra Server acts as a hub for configuration data. The Chef Infra Server stores cookbooks, the policies that are applied to nodes, and the metadata that describes each registered node that is under management by Chef Infra Client.
The Chef Infra Server API is written in Erlang, which is an excellent language for critical enterprise concerns like concurrency, fault-tolerance, and distributed environments.

*Run the following command: i) To check the Chef Infra Server version: chef-server-ctl version ii) To check the status of all services: sudo chef-server-ctl status iii) Start/Stop/Restart the Chef Infra Server: Start: sudo chef-server-ctl start Stop: sudo chef-server-ctl stop Restart: sudo chef-server-ctl restart iv) Commands to manage Users: Create a user: sudo chef-server-ctl user-create USERNAME FIRST_NAME LAST_NAME EMAIL 'PASSWORD' --filename FILENAME.pem
Delete a user: sudo chef-server-ctl user-delete USERNAME *Refer this document to create an Administrator user as well as an organization using Chef Infra Server: https://docs.chef.io/server/install_server/
Note: In this AMI, Chef Infra Server is installed by Standalone configuration. Nginx is also installed. To check the status of Nginx run: sudo systemctl status nginx
*Below are the minimum external resources subscriber needs to have to use this product: i)An Internet Connection is required for this product to function as expected. ii)We recommend keeping your crucial data in a custom made encrypted EBS to save it from termination in future.
