HyperSphere DNA™ is a dedicated management AMI that gives operators a unified control plane across their HyperSphere DNA node fleet. While each DNA node ships with a built-in single-node console, the Portal is designed for organizations running two or more nodes, providing a single interface to manage encryption operations across all of them.
From the Portal, operators can create and manage vaults, control access credentials, review tamper-evident audit logs, and monitor the health and status of every node in the fleet. Pre-built dashboards surface request rates, error rates, storage latency, seal state, and data band usage across all connected nodes in one place, eliminating the need to log into each node individually.
The Portal deploys as a standalone AMI inside your existing cloud environment and connects to your DNA nodes over your private network. No plaintext data passes through the Portal, all encryption and key operations remain on the DNA nodes themselves. The Portal is a management layer only.

Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resource does each hourly instance type map to, and what do I get with the appliance?
Each dimension maps to an AWS EC2 instance size that runs the appliance in your VPC. The appliance sits between your applications and S3-compatible storage, encrypting and decrypting data using ephemeral keys. Larger instance types provide more compute for concurrent operations. You choose the size matching your throughput and workload demands.
Am I charged when the appliance instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges accrue per hour while the instance runs. A stopped or paused instance does not accrue software hourly charges. You may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for the instance while stopped, but the software license meters running hours only.
Does my bill change based on how much data I protect within an instance?
No. Billing runs per instance-hour, not per gigabyte of protected data. Within a running instance, protecting more data or bandwidth does not raise your hourly software charge. Cost changes only when you run more hours or move to a different instance size.

HyperSphere Portal deploys as a single virtual machine instance inside your cloud environment for HyperSphere DNA Nodes - which act as an S3 compatible encryption proxy: your application writes to HyperSphere DNA using standard S3 API calls, and every object is encrypted with before being stored in your own object storage bucket. No plaintext ever leaves the node. No encryption key is ever persisted.
STEP 1: SUBSCRIBE AND LAUNCH
Subscribe to the tier that matches your workload. Launch the AMI into a private subnet. Attach the provided least-privilege IAM instance profile and a 50 GB encrypted gp3 EBS volume. Add your nodes to be managed by your Portal Instance.
