AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for a hardened, HIPAA-compliant Amazon Linux 2 image. Pricing follows the EC2 instance type you choose, so each listed dimension maps to one instance size. Smaller instances like t2.nano and t3.micro carry lower hourly software rates. Larger compute, memory, GPU, and storage-optimized instances like x1e.32xlarge, p4d.24xlarge, and u-24tb1.metal carry higher hourly rates. You are billed for each hour an instance runs, with no upfront commitment. Scale up or down by switching instance types. AWS infrastructure charges apply separately from this software fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged the hourly software fee when my instance is stopped?
The software fee meters running hours only. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volumes may still apply while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
What does one hourly unit cover, and what runs on the instance?
One unit is one hour that a chosen EC2 instance type runs this image. You get a hardened, HIPAA-compliant Amazon Linux 2 build configured with industry hardening frameworks. Each instance type maps to a set of CPU, memory, GPU, or storage resources, and you pay per running hour.
How does the software charge combine with what AWS bills me?
Two charges apply on the same invoice. The software fee meters each running hour of the instance type you pick. AWS separately bills the underlying infrastructure, such as compute, storage, and data transfer. Both scale with the instance size and hours used, but they are metered independently.
