Overview
umlaut collects mobile network performance and usage data in a worldwide panel of smartphone users. umlaut crowdsourcing solution is based on an SDK which is integrated into hundreds of Android apps and collects data passively on the customer devices in the background, the data collection is happening in 24/7/365 on such devices. The efficient data collection engine has allowed umlaut to create an extensive footprint world-wide that is unprecedented compared to other similar passive crowd sourcing solutions.
This data set contains mobile network coverage for all major operator networks for the entire country in a high resolution format (approximately 12.5 meter grid size).
Note that this product only contains aggregated statistical data from our crowd panel. In particular, no per-user data or personally identifiable information is included.
