This listing uses a Free pricing model with a single billing dimension. You are billed by the hour for each t3.medium instance the software runs on. There are no tiers or add-ons to choose from. Pricing scales only with how many hours you run the t3.medium instance. The software itself carries no software charge, so any cost comes from the underlying AWS infrastructure usage measured in instance hours.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the t3.medium hourly unit actually measure for billing?
The unit measures each hour a t3.medium instance runs the software. A t3.medium is an AWS compute instance size. Billing counts the running hours of that instance. The software itself is free, so charges come only from the underlying AWS instance usage.
Am I charged when the t3.medium instance is stopped or powered off?
The software carries no charge, so no software fees accrue whether the instance runs or stops. Running hours drive only the underlying AWS infrastructure cost. A stopped instance stops accruing compute hours, though attached AWS storage may still incur separate AWS fees.
What does this governance model help me manage on AWS?
It supports Kubernetes cluster operations on AWS EKS, including cluster administration, monitoring, and scaling for containerized workloads. It fits teams running container-based applications that need centralized visibility and governance across their environment.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
