AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing offers one pricing dimension: the Encoding Starter Pack. You buy a contract that includes 25,000 output minutes per month. This is a managed, multi-tenant SaaS deployment, so the vendor runs the infrastructure for you. Output minutes measure encoded video, and usage scales by how much live content you process. Output resolution and codec affect how minutes are counted, since larger frame sizes and certain codecs require more processing. You start and stop encoders as needed, using only what your workload requires within the included monthly allotment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one output minute for the 25,000 monthly allotment?
An output minute measures one minute of encoded video output. Output resolution changes the count: one SD content minute equals one output minute, an HD content minute equals two, and a 4K UHD content minute equals four. Certain codecs also add multiplying factors, so heavier formats consume more of your monthly minutes.
Am I charged when encoders are idle or when a job fails?
You start and stop encoders as needed and only consume minutes while processing. Idle encoders do not draw down your allotment. Jobs that fail due to vendor issues are not counted. Errors from corrupted inputs, unreachable outputs, or misconfiguration are counted for the output minutes produced before the error.
Is there a minimum billing duration for short encoding jobs?
Billing is calculated in 10-second increments. The minimum billed duration for any output is 10 seconds. An output shorter than 10 seconds is counted as 10 seconds against your included minutes.
