    Overview

SFTP 9.6.1 on Ubuntu 22.04 with Free Maintenance Support by PCloud

This Secure SFTP Gateway is built for modern, cloud first teams that want rock solid file transfers without the headaches of managing servers or worrying about data exposure. Optimised for the AWS Cloud Marketplace, it allows data to stream directly from SFTP clients to AWS S3, with no files ever stored on the gateway in transit. This results in stronger security, reduced risk and complete peace of mind.

At its core, the solution delivers true end to end encryption. Files are encrypted during transfer using configurable SFTP algorithms, while encryption keys are securely managed through AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, Google Cloud KMS, or customer managed keys for organisations that require full control. Data remains protected from the moment it leaves the client until it is safely stored in cloud storage.

Direct to Cloud Architecture (No Local Storage)

Unlike traditional SFTP servers, this gateway never stores data locally. Files are streamed directly into AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage. This architecture eliminates disk level vulnerabilities, simplifies compliance requirements, and aligns perfectly with zero trust security models used by enterprises today.

Built for High Availability and Global Scale

Deployed across multiple AWS Availability Zones and regions, the SFTP Gateway is engineered for maximum uptime. Built in DNS failover ensures the SFTP service remains operational even during regional disruptions, delivering a fast, reliable and always available experience for global users.

Simple Management with Enterprise Grade Access Control

Administration is handled through an intuitive web based dashboard, removing the need to manually edit configuration files or restart services. Administrators can quickly

    • Create and manage users
    • Assign dedicated S3 buckets or folders per user for isolated data access
    • Define granular permissions
    • Monitor transfer activity and usage

Authentication is flexible and enterprise ready, supporting password based login, SSH keys, LDAP, and OIDC, making it easy to integrate with existing identity and access management systems.

    SFTP Connector Integration

This solution goes beyond basic file transfer by integrating seamlessly with AWS Glue. Using the built in SFTP connector, teams can

    • Pull data directly from SFTP into AWS Glue ETL jobs
    • Transform and analyse data for reporting or analytics
    • Push processed data back into SFTP storage for partners or downstream systems

This makes it ideal for operational reporting, automated backups, disaster recovery workflows, and data governance pipelines, all without manual intervention.

Ready for AWS Marketplace, Backed by PCloudHosting

Available on the AWS Cloud Marketplace, this SFTP Gateway is production ready from day one. Deployment is fast, billing is consolidated through AWS and ongoing maintenance and support from PCloudHosting ensure the system remains secure, up to date and compliant.
