Overview
Koritsu delivers FinOps as a service for engineering teams running material AWS spend without a dedicated FinOps function. Most cost optimisation stops at reservations and purchasing. Koritsu operates one layer deeper, correlating AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) and FOCUS data with service-level resource activity to surface findings tied to specific architectural patterns, not account-level summaries.
The engagement is delivered through Kori, Koritsu's AI FinOps agent, alongside a Savings Opportunity Report that names the pattern, the likely cause, and the estimated impact. Recommendations are sequenced correctly: rightsizing before commitment instruments, so Savings Plans and Reserved Instances are applied against right-sized infrastructure rather than locking in existing overspend.
Koritsu's commercial model is success-fee based. Engagements begin with no upfront cost, and fees are calculated against two months of realised savings, verified against actual billing data rather than projected. This product relates to AWS Cost and Usage Reports, AWS Cost Explorer, and FOCUS-formatted billing exports, which Koritsu's platform ingests directly to generate findings.
Highlights
- FinOps as a service, engineering-grade. Resource-level CUR/FOCUS analysis that traces spend to the architectural decision driving it, not just the purchasing layer.
- No savings, no fee. Success-fee model with no upfront cost. Fees are calculated based on realised savings and verified against billing data over a two-month period.
- AI-powered, human-verified. Kori runs scheduled analyses and Slack alerts; every finding is captured in a Savings Opportunity Report before any change is recommended.
