The Optimization and Licensing Assessment (OLA) provides the answers you need to make sound AWS planning and migration decisions based on your actual data. The OLA is intended to accelerate your Windows migration journey by providing a business justification based on resource consumption, optimized licensing and provisioning.

Deliverables Include:

• Flexible Licensing Options: Bring Your Own License (BYOL) and reduce licensing obligations through Optimize CPU and leverage existing licensing in multiple AWS scenarios. The OLA will outline and quantify these options.
• Understand Your Install Base: The OLA identifies everything in your environment, regardless of platform, application or geography.
• Accurate Costing: Manual assessments are not able to capture Actual Resource Consumption (ARC) or ensure completeness, and as result a manual assessment might not be an accurate output for your migration plan. Additionally, leveraging ARC, recommendations can be made for On-Demand, RI, Spot Instances, Optimized CPU and Dedicated Hosts.
• Ongoing Advisory: Gain an understanding of all the AWS cloud options available, how to optimize, and develop a licensing procurement roadmap for the future.
