Prescience Data Sentinel is a data quality assessment tool with more than 50 prebuilt data quality rules. It provides a comprehensive analysis of your data and automatically generates data quality scores and reports. The tool is built on opensource frameworks and can be deployed on-prem or on clouds.
It also has more than 20 prebuilt data transformation rules, which help in transforming and cleaning data for down stream applications and systems.
The continued push in enterprises for data democratization, AI and ML usage and self-service BI is hampered by the lack of confidence in the quality of data. Data quality is the top data integrity challenge faced by most companies.
The Data Sentinel tool securely ingests your enterprise data without copying it and can be deployed as a standalone solution or be integrated with your existing data pipelines. Data Sentinel supports ingestion of data from Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL databases, AWS S3 and Azure blob storages, thus enabling an end to end view of the enterprise and business unit data. Various roles like Data Steward, Business Owner / Data Leader and administrator can be configured, with each role having their own relevant views of the enterprise data quality.
This tool also designed to convert raw data into a structured and meaningful format suitable for analysis or integration with other systems. It can perform operations such as cleaning, filtering, aggregating, normalizing, or reshaping datasets to meet specific business requirements.
Overall, the Data Sentinel tool allows you to get an enterprise view of your data quality, achieve faster time to insights, provides you with unmatched flexibility, get accurate insights into data issues and reduce your business and IT costs.
Highlights
The tool substantially reduces the overall effort, time & cost in an enterprise's data quality process.
1. Connect your datasets (S3, Azure Blob, IBM COS, SQL Databases, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks)
2. Select from the ready to use list of prebuilt data quality rules or import your own rules
3. Run the tool and view the DQ score dashboards
4. Take corrective action to improve data quality using data transformation rules
5. Use cleaned and transformed data in downstream apps
Fully automated for maximum accuracy. Connect your SQL datasets, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, IBM COS, S3 and Azure Blob files (CSV, JSON, Parquet) & run the tool.
Current release also has support for data cleaning and transformation for various supported data sources.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Data Sentinel uses free software pricing. You pay no license fee for the product itself. The 17 dimensions listed are all Amazon EC2 instance types, billed hourly. Each option maps to a different EC2 instance size or family, covering general-purpose (m-series), burstable (t-series), compute-optimized (c-series), and inference (inf2) hardware. You choose the instance that fits your workload and infrastructure needs. Because the software is free, your only cost is the hourly rate for the underlying compute you select. Pricing scales with the instance type you run, not with data volume or users.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for each hourly rate listed, and what does the software itself cost?
Each dimension maps to one Amazon EC2 instance type of a specific size and hardware family. The software carries no license fee. Your hourly charge covers only the underlying EC2 compute you run. Larger or specialized instances have different hourly rates than smaller general-purpose ones.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
Since the software is free, no license fee accrues at any time. Hourly charges reflect the EC2 instance itself and apply while it runs. A stopped instance stops accruing compute charges, though attached AWS storage may still incur fees. You pay only for running time.
Does my cost change with data volume, number of users, or the amount of data I process?
No. Pricing depends only on the EC2 instance type you select and the hours it runs. Data Sentinel processes data in its original location without moving or copying it. Whether you scan a little data or a lot, your cost stays tied to the chosen instance and its runtime.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
In this release IBM Cloud object storage support has been added. Now Data Sentinel supports SQL databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) data warehouses like Redshift, Databricks and Snowflake and cloud object storages like S3, Azure Blob and IBM COS.
It also has built in Data transformation engine which helps in cleaning and preprocessing data for downstream applications and systems.
This is Trial version and will expire after 45 days of application usage after the registration.
