This listing is free to use, so every dimension carries no software charge. The dimensions are simply the many supported EC2 instance types you can run it on, grouped by instance family (such as c, m, r, g, i, t, x, p, and others) and by size within each family (from small sizes like large and medium up to metal and very large sizes). You pick the instance that matches your compute, memory, GPU, or storage needs. Pricing scales only through the underlying AWS compute you select, not through the software itself.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit for billing on each instance-type dimension?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance-hour. One running instance of that type for one hour equals one billable hour. The software itself carries no charge, so you pay only the underlying AWS compute rate for the instance type you choose.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or powered off?
The software is free, so it never adds a charge whether running or stopped. Billing follows AWS compute only. Stopped instances stop accruing instance-hours but may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes. Powered-off instances do not accrue compute charges.
Does moving to a GPU instance type like g6 or p5 change the software cost?
No. The software is free across every instance type, including GPU families such as g4dn, g6, g7, and p5. GPU drivers come pre-integrated. Your cost changes only through the AWS compute rate of the GPU instance you select, not through any software fee.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
