MAP Mobilize for Oracle Workloads

Cintra's mobilization services for Oracle workloads are delivered as part of the AWS Migration Acceleration program (MAP) program. Cintra brings a unique data driven approach to migration planning and mobilisation based on the deep discovery capability provided by Cintra's Rapid Discovery automation. Discovery occurs either in the DBOLA or MAP Assessment stages providing a rapid transition into mobilisation based on the data driven understanding of the Oracle estate to be migrated. MAP Mobilize includes planning, preparing, and laying a robust foundation for the migration of Oracle Workloads to AWS.

Cintra will prepare a migration and modernization plan with detailed designs for Oracle workloads (applications and databases) including consideration for application and infrastructure dependencies. Mobilisation also establishes the operational and security framework including associated runbooks. Based on this foundation Cintra will build a best practice WAF compliant AWS landing zone, which will facilitate secure access, monitoring, business continuity and data protection. Mobilisation will focus on delivering pilot migrations followed by the migration of non production lower environments.

Cintra’s Oracle specilaised AWS global delivery teams will:

• Create a secure WAF compliant landing zone ready for migrations.
• Design and provision the cloud infrastructure services required for the migrations.
• Perform pilot test migration(s) to establish migration runbooks and validatethe migration approach.
• Migrate lower non production environments following the pilot migration(s).
• Design, docoument and test :
  • security and access management playbooks,
  • operational runbooks,
  • backup and recovery procedures,
  • BCP / DR mechanisms and procedures
• Create a migration schedule, timeline and cutover plan for the production / production support environments.
• Conduct an AWS Well Architected Framework review to ensure that the solution meets AWS’s best practices.
