Tap into the global conversation! This dataset, powered by the Twitter API, provides a rolling 1-month of English language Tweets from verified accounts on the topic of cryptocurrency. The dataset will be updated every Monday with weekly revisions to provide the latest Tweets from the past week. The file is estimated to contain about 100,000 Tweets and is available in both CSV and native JSON format.

    Overview

With hundreds of millions of Tweets published every day, Twitter is what’s happening and what people are talking about right now. Twitter data enables you to tap into and analyze the conversations, interests, beliefs, and ideas shared on the platform by hundreds of millions of people each day around the globe.

This dataset, powered by the Twitter API , contains a curated set of cryptocurrency related Tweets from the past month. It covers a rolling 1-month window and will be updated at least once per week on Mondays to provide recent Tweets from the past week. It is limited to English language Tweets from verified accounts  and excludes Retweets for the purpose of keeping each record in the dataset unique. More details below:

    • The data is available in both CSV and JSON format. Note that the CSV file contains the vast majority of available fields, but if you want every possible field, the JSON file is recommended.
    • Each row in the CSV file represents 1 Tweet record.
    • The CSV contains 61 columns for the fields of metadata (e.g., Tweet ID, text, media URLs, engagement metrics, etc).
    • Weekly revisions will be provided to account for compliance (removes deleted Tweets). Subscribers are responsible for maintaining a compliance dataset.

The data sets are generated using the open source twidl app . For further reference on the available data fields and their descriptions, please review the comprehensive data dictionary found in the Twitter API documentation .

This dataset updates at least weekly. The date for the dataset published now is reflected in the revision data. Per the Twitter Developer Agreement and Policy, subscribers are responsible for maintaining compliance with the most current version of this dataset.
