An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Access the application via a browser at http://<IP address or FQDN>:8080
In the screen that appears (Complete Installation) select the default suggestion of /mnt/data1 as the location for StorageMAP to store its system files.
At the login screen you can assign the password for the admin account associated with this instance of StorageMAP. Login to StorageMAP using the user id admin and supply the password assigned in the previous step. NOTE Storage system metadata is scanned for analytics but no content or data is stored No data encryption configuration is required Configuration backups can be staged in the StorageMAP Configuration module
