Overview
Amazon Connect Conversational AI Architecture
Reference architecture showing Amazon Connect routing interactions to structured Lex flows or agentic AI, with business-system integration, guardrails, context, and human escalation.
Klika Tech Conversational AI Implementation for Amazon Connect is a professional services engagement that integrates AI-powered self-service with Amazon Connect. Klika Tech helps organizations reduce repetitive, low-value work for human agents by deploying the appropriate self-service experience across voice and chat. The engagement combines structured Amazon Lex flows with Amazon Connect AI agents powered by Amazon Bedrock and integrates them with organizational knowledge bases, CRM platforms, and business systems through supported connectors, APIs, and MCP tools. Each implementation includes documented guardrails and human-escalation policies aligned with the customer’s operational and governance requirements.
Amazon Lex supports structured, intent-based conversations for repeatable and compliance-sensitive workflows such as identity verification, order status, balance inquiries, password resets, and payment processes. These deterministic experiences replace rigid touch-tone menus with natural-language interactions while remaining within tested boundaries. Amazon Connect AI agents support open-ended questions and multi-step actions by using approved knowledge sources and MCP tools to retrieve information or perform authorized tasks. AI agents can maintain context and address multiple intents within a single interaction, then transfer the customer and relevant context to a human agent according to defined escalation criteria. Klika Tech connects the implementation to customer knowledge bases and supported CRM and business systems using integration methods established during discovery. Amazon Connect Customer Profiles can surface customer context where appropriate, while services such as AWS Lambda and Amazon DynamoDB can support integrations and preserve interaction state. Guardrails for data handling, sensitive topics, customer tone, tool access, and escalation are defined during a governance and compliance-requirements workshop. Before go-live, Klika Tech uses Amazon Connect testing, simulation, and evaluation tooling to validate deterministic and agentic experiences against agreed functional, governance, and escalation criteria. AI Agent performance dashboards provide ongoing visibility into measures such as handoff rate, conversation turns, tool usage, response quality, and successful resolution.
Automating appropriate self-service interactions can reduce human-agent workload and associated support costs while giving customers faster access to routine information and services. Customers receive production AI agents integrated with their Amazon Connect environment, configured with documented and tested guardrails, a test and simulation suite, performance dashboards, and documentation for administrators and supervisors. Klika Tech can deploy an Amazon Connect Core foundation as a standalone offering when required. Optional, separately scoped post-go-live services are available for prompt tuning, knowledge-source refinement, guardrail updates, containment-policy optimization, and ongoing performance improvement. Usage and infrastructure costs are modeled during solution design. AWS service consumption, telephony, messaging, Amazon Lex, Amazon Bedrock, and other infrastructure charges are billed separately by AWS and vary according to the selected services, usage, region, and pricing plan.
