Overview
AI-Assisted Vendor Intelligence on AWS
Sphere's Vendor Intelligence is a professional services offering for organizations designing and implementing continuous vendor and third-party risk intelligence solutions on AWS.
Sphere creates an intelligence layer across procurement, governance, risk, security, contract, and external data sources. Vendor information is consolidated and analyzed to provide current risk indicators, confidence-scored alerts, supporting evidence, and a unified view of supplier relationships.
Solutions are deployed within the customer's AWS environment and can incorporate AWS services for AI, machine learning, data processing, integration, storage, workflow automation, search, and monitoring. Depending on the customer's architecture and requirements, implementations may use services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, Amazon OpenSearch Service, and Amazon CloudWatch.
Continuous Vendor Risk Monitoring
Traditional vendor assessments often provide only a point-in-time view. Vendor Intelligence helps organizations continuously evaluate changes across relevant financial, operational, cybersecurity, contract, and market data.
The solution can provide:
Vendor and supplier risk scoring Confidence-scored risk alerts with supporting evidence Financial and operational risk indicators Cybersecurity and third-party risk signals Contract and commercial intelligence Vendor concentration analysis Supplier portfolio segmentation Historical trend analysis Audit and reporting workflows
Procurement, sourcing, compliance, and risk teams retain authority over vendor decisions. AI-generated findings and recommendations are designed to support human review and decision-making.
Integration with Existing Procurement and GRC Systems
Sphere designs Vendor Intelligence to work with the customer's existing procurement, sourcing, governance, risk, and compliance platforms.
Integrations can include systems such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua, ServiceNow, OneTrust, and other enterprise procurement and GRC platforms. AWS-based APIs and integration workflows can be used to exchange vendor profiles, risk indicators, alerts, contract information, and workflow status between systems.
Sphere's Five-Step Implementation Process
Discovery and assessment of the customer's vendor portfolio, AWS environment, data sources, procurement systems, and third-party risk processes. Data integration and configuration of vendor scoring and analysis workflows using available vendor performance, contract, security, and operational information. Configuration of risk models, alert thresholds, workflows, access controls, and stakeholder experience, followed by iterative testing. A supervised pilot across a defined group of critical suppliers with performance evaluation and refinement. Production deployment, monitoring, documentation, and ongoing optimization based on customer feedback and changing requirements.
Sphere can configure workflows and reporting to support the customer's internal governance, third-party risk management, audit, and regulatory processes.
Customer data remains isolated within the customer's deployment. Sphere does not aggregate customer vendor data across deployments.
Any AWS infrastructure or AWS service usage charges incurred within the customer's AWS account are separate from Sphere's professional services fees and are the responsibility of the customer.
