One of the most stable Ubuntu images I've used

    Reviewed on Apr 19, 2022
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I consider this as one of the most stable images I've ever used. I have a lot of EC2 instances running with it and so far it has been running smoothly, so no complains about that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that is creator's fault, but the image could be a bit outdated in some internal dependencies, although it doesn't make an impact in the way the applications running on it work
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically to have a stable image where to run my microservice layer built using spring boot. It is not about getting the latest JDK or Ubuntu to run it, but instead to look for something more stable and battle-tested
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To keep posted about vulnerability reports, in order to patch your instances in a timely fashion

It was like smooth, new changes are making it lot more efficient

    Reviewed on Feb 12, 2022
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The deployment stack, Auto-update, was available for JRE installations. It's undergone many changes in its implementation since JDK 9, through JDK 10, and it's finally been standardized in JDK11. My experience with the new API is excellent.
It feels well written and efficient. And it's good to finally have standard HTTP client API in the runtime
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much it is more efficient and there are lot of new features in this version like, Lazy allocations of compiler threds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As the HTTP client has been standradized in JAVA 11 by removing the previous incubation API located in the JDK.incubator.HTTP pacakge. Now any HTTP type imports are to be done by new JAVA.net .HTTP
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I will definitely recommend this to every colleague working in this industry.
