Overview
Oil and Gas reports (end-of-well reports, drilling reports) are complex and exhaustive in nature. There is a need extensive domain expertise (drilling/wireline engineers, geologists, sub-surface engineers) to interpret these complex reports. A lot of human effort is spent to extract relevant data from these voluminous reports with some extending over 1000 pages. Machine interpretation is not easy as the reports contain multi-modal data • Text • Images • Plots • Tables and charts which are of different formats (images generated by many oil and gas companies) This application is a Generative AI, Advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based search solution for interpretation and information extraction from these oil and gas well completion/drilling reports. Key features include • Graphical system with a chat interface • Gen AI Agentic framework for AI-powered insights • Large size document ingestion (unstructured data) and interpretation • Specifically designed for the Oil and Gas industry's complex, multi-modal data processing needs but can also modified to be domain neutral. • Optimized to handle domain-specific technical documentation such as o Well completion reports (tables) o Drilling reports (tables, graphs) o Associated technical diagrams such as well logs (tables) The system is built using AWS Bedrock Services for Generative AI capability
