You pay by the hour based on the Amazon EC2 instance size you choose to run this software. The 21 options are not feature tiers. Each maps to a different EC2 instance type, so your rate scales with the compute resources you select. The T2 and T3 families offer general-purpose, burstable options from nano through 2xlarge. The M3, M4, and M5 families cover balanced compute and memory. The C3, C4, and C5 families target compute-heavy workloads. The R3, R4, and R5 families suit memory-intensive workloads. Software runs the same across all sizes; only hourly cost and capacity differ.

Each unit is one hour of running time on the Amazon EC2 instance type you select. You pay the software rate for every hour that instance runs. The instance type sets your compute, memory, and hourly rate. The software itself is identical across all instance types.
Software charges apply per hour while the instance runs. Stopped or powered-off instances do not accrue software hours. Underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volumes may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the software licence meters running time only.
The listing bundles maintenance support with the software you run per hour. ATH Infosystems provides version upgrades, security upgrades, and vulnerability handling as part of the offering.
