    Step 1: Open Putty for SSH Step 2: Open Putty and Type <instance public IP> at Host Name and Type ec2-user as user name Password auto taken from PPK file Step 3: Use following Linux command to start Jenkin:

    $ sudo su $cd /home/ec2-user $java -jar jenkins.war

    Step 4:Open the URL: http://<instance ip address>:8080/ step 5: enter the below details: username: admin note: for password go to putty and enter the following commands: $ cd / $ vi InitialPassword copy the password and enter in the browser

    step 6: jenkins is up and running
