Overview
Haivision Kraken is a powerful video processing platform that can efficiently encode and transcode encrypted real-time Full Motion Video (FMV) and metadata for distribution to multiple IP destinations using the AWS global network of cloud regions and the public internet. Optimized for mission critical use cases, it delivers pristine quality video even in bandwidth-limited environments with resilience against network data loss. Kraken supports various video protocols and codecs, normalizing outgoing streams with the lowest possible delay for seamless integration and interoperability with downstream networks and exploitation systems. Powerful metadata management tools allow Kraken to aggregate multiple sources as required to save valuable bandwidth while preserving geospatial context with MISB and STANAG-compliant KLV metadata. Kraken can be the streaming backbone for ISR applications and can also be used to condition IPTV sources for the Haivision Media Platform (HMP). Highlights
- Transcode video streams in real-time for enhanced situational awareness and decision making within bandwidth-limited environments.
- Convert between video codecs and formats to ensure interoperability with downstream systems.
- Selectively filter and decimate KLV metadata within a stream to prioritize video when bandwidth is limited.

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
