Overview
Product video
As video streaming grows, it becomes necessary to optimize the visual streaming quality to lower the rising cost of CDN. You can do this by measuring the visual quality of the transcoding output so that no bandwidth is wasted. You need a method to measure video quality.
VMAF is a great option to measure video quality but the process is slow and time consuming when it comes to very high resolution streaming such as 4Kp60.
BLUEDOT offers VMAF hardware accelerator leveraging FPGA (field programmable gate array) instances in the Cloud. Comparing with SW VMAF, it provides faster performance, cheaper cost, and lower power consumption.
Highlights
- Fully hardwired accelerator offering high throughput
- No CPU workload is required
- FFmpeg supported, easy integration
