An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Usage instructions OneWAN AMI Complete the following steps to launch and configure the OneWAN AMI:
- Locate the OneWAN product page by searching the AWS Marketplace for OneWAN.
- On the OneWAN product page, click Continue to Subscribe, and then continue to configure.
- Use the Launch with EC2 Console option. Select the desired software version and AWS Region, then click Launch with EC2 Console.
- The Launch Instance Wizard will open. Select your preferred instance type the vendor-recommended instance type is preselected, then click Next.
- Under Network, choose the VPC where you want to deploy the OneWAN instance.
- Under Subnet, select the subnet where the primary network interface WAN interface will be placed.
- Optional Add additional network interfaces if your OneWAN deployment requires LAN, DMZ, or multi-WAN connectivity. Select the appropriate subnet for each interface.
- Click Review and Launch, verify that the configuration is correct, then click Launch.
- When prompted for the key pair, select an existing SSH key pair or create a new one. If you create a new key pair, download and save the private key securely.
- Click Launch Instances.
- Return to the EC2 Console. Wait for the instance state to show running. After it fully initializes, connect to the instance using SSH:
- ssh -i <your-keypair>.pem admin@<public-IP-or-DNS-of-instance>
- After logging in, follow the on-screen setup instructions to configure: WAN connectivity LAN interfaces Routing VPN security policies ZTNA Advanced OneWAN acceleration or proxy features
