Delivery details
64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
The core platform AMI is deployed in the public subnet provided as parameter of the Cloud Formation.
During the deployment, the instance user data will take care of pulling the requires SSL certificate from the provided S3 bucket using the AWS IAM role, this SSL certificate will be used to configure the access to the product over a secure HTTPS connection.
The product is made available over Elastic IP and will be accessible after the required DNS entry will be configured by the customer.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
